The Kingston Steer BBQ is every second weekend in July in partnership with the Kingston Lions, Kingston Legion, and Kingston Fire Department and Auxiliary. The main event is on Saturday, with supporting events on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

Saturday starts at the fire department's Rodeo Breakfast before the parade. The parade ends at the fairgrounds, where the tradition of cooking a steer continues. In addition to classic Burger Bits, other BBQ foods are available, thanks to the Lions. The day is filled with live music, bounce castles and children's activities, an artisan market, a 3x3 basketball tournament and more! The Legion hosts a 19+ dance on Saturday night. Other activities surrounding Saturday's main event include a golf tournament, disc-golf tournament, farmers market, Canada Post colouring contest, family fun run and more! Our committee takes pride in having a fully immersed community festival. This weekend provides a great sense of togetherness to residents who have lived here for decades as well as those who are brand new and everyone in between!
