Located just off Highway 101 at Exit 17, approximately
150km from the Halifax airport, Kingston (pop. 3,023,
2006 census) is the ideal place to stop and stay awhile.
Enjoy a picnic in the shade next to our local duck pond
or walk the fitness trail at Stronach Park and Family
Fitness Trail. Walk, bike or ride an ATV on the old rail
bed which runs through the village. Launch a canoe/kayak
on the nearby Annapolis River or play in one of the
village’s playgrounds. Kingston is just 20 minutes away
from the World’s highest tides, Oaklawn Farm Zoo and
three
minutes away from the Military Aviation Museum and
shopping mall in Greenwood.
The beautiful Kingston/Greenwood Information &
Interpretive Centre located at 510 Main Street is open
mid May to early October and is equipped with internet
access and a gift area.
Our community has a quality campground, fine motel,
restaurants, 18-hole golf course, large supermarket,
liquor store, gas stations, pharmacies, hardware stores
and farm markets.
