Transportation Services
The Village of Kingston is
responsible
for crosswalk construction and maintenance, sidewalk
construction and maintenance, parking lot maintenance
(along Main Street), crossing guards, and streetlights
within the Village boundaries.
The province and the county are responsible for roads
and streets within the Village.
Sidewalks
The Village is responsible for sidewalk
maintenance and snow removal and endeavors to keep
sidewalks clear and well kept. If you have any comments
or complaints regarding sidewalks, please contact the
Village Office at 765-2800.
Ralf is clearing sidewalks this year and has done a
tremendous job. Give him a wave when he passes by.
Crosswalks
The Village is responsible for the construction
and maintenance of crosswalks, along with providing
crossing guards at crosswalks with high student volumes.
Streetlights
The Village is responsible for the placement,
maintenance and operating costs for streelights. If a
streetlight is not operating, please note the nearest
civic number and contact the Village Office at 765-2800.
