Princess Kingston 2010 -
Olivia Switzer
Olivia
is the 19 year old daughter of Adin and Wendy
Switzer of Kingston. Olivia graduated from
Vanier Collegiate, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in
2008. While at Vanier Collegiate, Olivia was the
President of the school’s “SADD” chapter,
captain of the cheerleading team and an
Executive member of the Student Council. Olivia
has received several academic awards including a
Major Academic Award on her graduation, the
Acadia Excellence Scholarship as well as
District and Provincial Acting Awards while
attending Vanier Collegiate. Olivia attends
Acadia University and is enrolled in the
Bachelor of Business Administration Program,
majoring in Marketing. She is employed as a
Financial Services Representative with the
Valley Credit Unions. She enjoys photography,
cheerleading, skiing, reading, shopping and
being with friends, family, and her dog, Scout.
Child Attendant - Kyra
Rose Jarvis
Kyra
Rose Jarvis is the 8 year old daughter of Bruce
and Jacqueline Jarvis of Kingston. Kyra is a
grade three French Immersion student at Kingston
District School. Kyra has been a member of the
Greenwood Dolphin Swim Club for three years and
enjoys competition events. Kyra is enrolled in
level 1 piano lessons and English riding.
| Apple Blossom
Volunteers Needed |
The Apple Blossom Committee is a group of
volunteers that is responsible for recruiting a
Princess and a Child Attendant to represent the
community and provide a Selection Tea, if
necessary, as well as a Wardrobe Tea. The
committee is also responsible for preparing a
Village float with the appropriate theme to
participate in various parades throughout the
summer.
The Apple Blossom Committee is seeking
volunteers to help with the following:
• Join the Committee and/or
• Help with the Princess Teas; decorate hall,
prepare food etc., serve tea, coffee and
food, clear tables, load dishwashers, general
clean up
• Help decorate the Princess Kingston Float -
share ideas and talents, build, paint etc
• Float Drivers - needed to drive the Village
truck and parade float to various festivals and
events throughout the summer
